Large Bulk Bag of Logs on a Pallet
Our bagged products are delivered on 1.0m x 1.0m pallets.
Please be aware that unless the delivery point is ideal (flat, no incline's or lips and hard, tarmac or concrete) it is unlikely that the crate will be able to be moved away from the rear of the lorry to where you want it. If in doubt, order a smaller size crate.
If you live within one of our free delivery postcode areas and you have ordered a Dumpy Bag your firewood will be delivered by one of New Hall Kiln Dried Firewood's own trucks fitted with a crane. The logs will be delivered in a dumpy bag and unloaded using the crane to your preferred position or as near possible.
For all pallet deliveries Customers will be contacted by Pallet Force to arrange date and time for delivery.
If you live outside the 25 mile radius postcode area and you have ordered a Crate/Bulk bag then your firewood will be delivered by a third party company on pallets.
All products are delivered on a pallet covered by a plastic wrap to keep your Firewood or Pellets dry on route. Please remove the plastic wrap and store in a dry place.
On the day of delivery your order will be delivered on a pallet by a lorry with a tail lift at the rear. The pallet is moved with a pallet trolley from the tail lift platform onto the ground. Providing the surface is hard and flat, such as concrete, the driver will usually be able to move the pallet a short distance, such as into your garage. Pallet delivery is officially a ‘kerbside’ service, however, and therefore it is at the driver’s discretion as to how far it will be moved.
The truck that will be used to deliver pallets to you will be 3.4 meters tall, 2.8 meters wide, and 7.5 meters long. The tail-lift on the truck also extends out an additional 1.8 meters, and will need additional 2 meters clearance to offload pallets.
Please ensure that when receiving your delivery the truck will not be parked on an incline, that there will be no overhanging trees or cables, and that there is an even surface to wheel the pallet to it's storage location.
